The Haunted Forest - Final

Lavender is entering the dark and dangerous woods. This is another illustration for the Irish Faerie Tale I'm currently illustrating entitled Lavender Blue and the Faeries of Galtee Wood. From here on in Lavender is going to have to be very brave.

Cheers and Peace be with you.

Quite an ominous scene. I really enjoy the way you mix together elements of humanity in your environments, such as the stairs in the foreground. It adds a sense of age to me.

When your "Lavender Blue and the Faeries of Galtee Wood" book becomes available, please let us know. I know I'm not the only one who wants to obtain a copy of it.

Also illustrator Charles Vess has his own publishing house. - you probably already know about it, but in case not, see:

They might be the ones to pitch a possible Gwelf project to. Never hurts to try.

Nate - thanks so much I really appreciate that. Like the great ones before me, I try to add a sense of character to everything I draw.

Thank-you WOL. When Lavender is available I will certainly let everyone know.

Your Greenman Press idea is a very good one. I will have to look into it. I have met Charles several times and think that, if anyone would be open to the Gwelf idea, it just might be him.

Good thinking. :)

This is very atmospheric! I love the ominous but enticing wood. Lots of adventures to be had in there! Wonderful piece.

Thanks so much Craig. This is definitely the point in the story where Lavender needs to be very brave.

That's what I call a beautiful and misterious atmosphere. Congrats!
